In the shadow of the war that forced on Israel, we are determined to bring back routine to Israeli life, now that Israel is made safe again. We, at Kamea Dance Company, feel that we must infuse people through art with the spirit of hope and allow the public in Israel to find a breathing space and resilience in this challenging period.
We are returning to full activity, with a mission: to perform, to dance, to inspire and to allow respite.
Often we are asked what makes our creativity and movement language so gutty, truthful, strong and stunning. Life in Israel and its challenges have defined who we are: people whose emotions are strong and unconcealed, as artist we are eager to share our strong inhibitions with the world and audiences.
From January 24, the company’s performances will all be renewed nationally on a wide scale, both in the theatres for the adult audiences and as part of the “Cultural Basket” in performances intended for youth in many cities.
“Wild Awake“, Tamir Ginz’s latest work, is an escapist dream to moments of happiness, ambitions and hidden dreams. This is a surreal journey that invites the audience for an escape from reality. The work has been invited to the best cultural centers in Israel and is starting this intensive national tour from January 24.

“Carmina Burna“, our international hit, in a renewed and updated production (postponed from October 23) will premiere on April 24 at the Herzliya Performing Arts Center and in May 24 in exclusive shows at the Haifa Auditorium and at the Performing Arts Center in Be’er Sheva.

Rehearsals in the studio have begun in a creative process for our premiere for our 2024 season: Ginz and Duato.
The center work of the new evening “White Face”, is a world premiere by Ginz, completed for a double bill by “GNAWA”, a delightful spectacle of virtuosity, orchestrated with passion by international genius acclaimed choreographer Nacho Duato. The re-staging of this masterpiece is made possible thanks to a special tribute to Ginz and the company by Nacho Duato.
