We are proud to announce that we’re resuming our international touring with an intensive tour to Germany in October-November 2024 with not less than 3 full evening productions by artistic director Tamir Ginz.
We will start our venture in Neuss-Düsseldorf with two performances of “Wild Awake”, Ginz’s latest full evening creation that has already received great applause last spring in Leverkusen. This piece with its dreamlike optimistic escapism will continue to Kempten marking our 3rd visit to this beautiful city for the International “Tanzherbst” festival.
The peak of the tour will be a two-week residency in Munich, sponsored by the municipality of Munich & the Bavarian state government. Munich and Beer Sheve signed a strong twin cities alliance and has developed a beautiful bond over the last couple of years. The leaders of the Munich municipality extended an invitation for Kamea following their visit to the company home in spring 23. Our Munich tour was also enabled by the great efforts and courtesy of the Munich Israeli Consulate.
During our visit we will offer free workshops, open rehearsals and classes to the Munich community of dancers held in cooperation with the Iwanson International Contemporary Dance School, providing a unique opportunity for the local dance community to engage closely with the company dancers and Ginzs’ repertoire.
Our week residency at the luxurious, beautiful Deutsches Theater München, will feature both our 2 international hit shows, “Carmina Burana” (2024 new edition) and “Matthäus Passion 2727”.
This tour marks a significant milestone in Kamea’s ongoing mission to bring world-class inspiring Israeli contemporary dance to international audiences. With a critically acclaimed repertoire and community outreach workshops, the company is honored to leave a lasting impression on audiences across Germany.
