We are beginning a new season with a big prayer for peace, stability, good news and the greatest wish is for the return of all the hostages. Our life is all about dance and our mission is to bring our beloved audience moments of healing for the soul, hope and respite as well as an opportunity to look inwards. We are led by the belief that the spirit, the human soul, has to be full of art and creation, beauty and values ​​and respect for freedom of expression, all these are as important as bread.

Six new and talented dancers joined us this season: Nora Segalla and Martina Travi (Italy), Joshua Dance (UK), Cesar Amaya (Venezuela), Zalta Yakobova (Israel) and Harel Harush, a junior dancer, as well as 4 new promising apprentices.

The 27 dancers of the Kamea and the entire staff are excited for a full and varied season, a season of renewal and growth.

The new evening “White Face” will tour throughout the year on a nationally tour in the best dance series and cultural centers in Israel. Tamir Ginz’s premiere “White Face” and the spectacular masterpiece “Gnawa” by Nacho Duato (Spain), one of the world’s greatest dance makers, present on stage an evening of contrasts. Ginz in a relevant work full of dark passions evolving stormy and dramatic movement language, and Duato in a spectacular group ritual of passion, strength and worship. we will begin in November at the prestigious dance series of the Performing Arts Hall in Herzliya with 4 festive and exclusive shows: Herzliya program will exclusively include the spectacular entertaining duet of Itzik Galili “Cherry Pink and apple Blossom White” under the title Ginz – Galili – Duato.

Ginz’s works are invited for international tours this season: “Wild Awake” will be performed for the last time at Suzanne Dellal TLV in September and continue for a tour in Germany in October 24. Later, the company will present a special week of performances in the biggest and most prestigious theater in Munich “Deutsches Theater” where we will perform “Carmina Burna“, (in its 2024 new staging), and the monumental masterpiece “Matthaus Passion 2727“. In April 25 both works will return to Germany for an intensive tour. Carmina Burana will be performed in Tel aviv at The Israeli Opera House in a special show.

In June 25, a restaging premiere of the acclaimed signature work “Bamidbar Devarim” is expected to return to the stage at the request of the audience, as well as exclusive performances in Israel of Matthaus Passion 2727” at the Herzliya Performing Arts Hall.

The educational department programming include the project “Kamea in the Community” which calls on all dance students in the south to study the world of the Kamea as a professional company, the continued growth of the center of excellence in dance of the municipality of Beer Sheva led by us, teaching Ginz’s repertoire in dance schools throughout the country, visits of dance groups to the company’s home for educational seminars, an international summer course and embarking on a second year in the “Dancing Repertoire” project of “Virtuoz” – Uzi Nissim, for deepening and professionalizing in Ginz’s movement language in the leading dance centers in Israel.

The platform for the adult community “Mid-Bar” – southern dance community, continues with impressive momentum and currently brings together dozens of dancers in 12 weekly evening dance classes at the company’s home, in all styles, under the guidance of the troupe’s staff and dancers. The classes are open to the public with an attitude of patience and understanding, joint and experiential learning and the creation of a Kamea – fans dance community in the south.

For the younger audience, we continue to perform in the national scheme cultural basket with the shows “Gleech” and “Dance Dance, Dance” and the ring-arena show “Kumzitz“. These unique creations are targeted to school students to present an introduction to the art of dance and build a future audience for the cultural world.

On the agenda of encouraging Israeli creativity, KAMEA HUB, we will invite the company’s dancers to create new works themselves in the evening “Dancers Create” that will be mounted in the summer of 2025.

In March 2025, we will premiere our annual Showcase new program will focus on the International Repertory Channel. The 2025 premier will present works by Andonis Foniadakis (Greece/France) and the Italian choreographer Jacopo Godani, both of whom are amongst the leading choreographers in the contemporary dance world, virtuosos whose language of movement is captivating and challenging.
