Maor Boganim

Maor was born in September 2002 and grew up in Be’er Sheva.
He began dancing in “Pargod”, a community troupe of the city of Beer Sheva under the guidance of Bar Kimhi, and thanks to the exposure of the “Kamea community project” he discovered the dance language of Tamir Ginz and decided to deepen his studies towards a professional career. He then joined the Bat Dor school in Beer Sheva under the management of Or Abuhav to receive professional training.

In March 2021, he participated in the “Arbatova Online project” of the Mia Arbatova association.

Maor joined Kamea as an apprentice in August 2022 and was promoted to a dancer status in January 2023.

“Since I started exploring modern contemporary dance, I’ve been looking for my challenge as a dancer who can combine the inner work with the movement strength and the integration of the basics of classical technique. In the movement language of Tamir Ginz, the internal physical exploration connects these abilities to a powerful emotion and brings movement that communicates outwards.”
