Tamir Ginz, the artistic director of the Kamea Dance Company, is proud to present this season's premiere, an evening that is an international summit meeting of two of the most valued choreographers in the world of contemporary dance, works by Jacopo Godani and Andonis Foniadakis.

Both choreographers, who emerged from the school of Maurice Bejart, developed completely different choreography methods and each is recognized for a unique language of movement that became an established style.

Jacopo Godani (Italy), is creating a world premiere for Kamea, for which he designs the costumes and lighting. Original music by Ulrich Müller. Godani's work skillfully plays the body as a multi-part instrument, his abstract language challenges classical ballet while being able to dismantle and reassemble it.

Godani, one of the most established creators of the dance world, is considered the heir to William Forsyth, with whom he danced as a soloist in the Dresden-Frankfurt Company (Germany) where he grew to become a respected choreographer. Godani's works have been performed for decades by the most prestigious companies in the world. In 2015, Godani took over the artistic management of the company from Forsyth until his retirement in 2023.

Andonis Foniadakis (Greece - France), a choreographer who nowadays enjoys unprecedented international popularity, will mount the work "Kosmos", an intense work that challenges the limits of physicality and athleticism. The work was first created for Ballet Jazz Montreal (2014) and later reworked for the Hanover Ballet - Germany. The Israeli premiere of "Kosmos" will allow the audience to experience the powerful energy of an Israeli troupe in the Foniadakis' original contemporary style that fuses the world of modern dance with wild "club" movement and mind-blowing physical acrobatics.
