“Carmina Burana 2.0” is coming to the Tel Aviv Opera House

After a spectacular premiere in May with five sold-out performances at the Herzliya Performing Arts Center and a successful tour in Germany this October, the new production of Carmina Burana arrives for exclusive performances at the Israeli Opera – between the company’s international tours!

Tamir Ginz shares: “Carmina Burana 2.0,” now heading to the opera, is fundamentally different from the version I created and premiered at the Israeli Opera back in 2008. These will be our first performances at the Israeli Opera in many years, and we are incredibly excited. This journey began when I was commissioned to create the work for the Kypria Festival in Cyprus in 2007. Since then, we’ve performed it worldwide—highlights include the Olympic events in Beijing and countless festivals across Turkey, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Germany, and more. When I was asked to revive this piece, I decided to completely reimagine significant parts of the choreography and to update its visual production entirely. Now, our ‘Carmina Burana 2.0’ is more dazzling, sexy, and elegant than ever. It’s an evening of powerful, grand dance that celebrates desire and love. It’s pure joy to see our new dancers conquer the stage with fresh mischief and passion, bringing immense happiness to this creation.”
